
Lake Winnipesaukee GC Poised to Host NHGA Junior Tour Season's Culmination Event, the Junior Invitational
Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Golf Association is thrilled to announce the picturesque Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club is set to host this year’s Junior Invitational, the culminating event of the NHGA Junior Golf Tour. Those participating in Junior Tour events throughout the summer months earn points based on where they finish on the leaderboard in their respective divisions, which could ultimately lead to an invitation to this sought-after event.
Held at Abenaqui Country Club for the last seven seasons, the NHGA Junior Invitational is an event that junior golfers around the state strive for each season. Players battle it out on the season long points list in hopes of earning a spot at the Junior Invitational which has historically been held at one of the state’s premier golf courses and this year is no different. Lake Winnipesaukee is one of the most elite courses in the state and New Hampshire junior golfers are in for a real treat.

The Junior Invitational has become a premier event on the Junior Tour schedule that has given players something to strive for during the season.”

The event is set to be held on Wednesday, August 13th. Players in each of the six divisions will compete from June to August to earn enough points to garner an invitation to the NHGA Junior Tour season-ending event.
About the NHGA Junior Golf Tour
Since 1998, the NHGA has promoted a junior program that creates playing opportunities for players of all skill levels and abilities. The program is structured to provide opportunities for junior golf development through fair competition while encouraging proper course etiquette and good sportsmanship through playing and enjoying the game of golf.
The NHGA Junior Tour divisions are based on yardage, instead of age. It allows players to choose which division they want to play in based on the yardage they are most comfortable playing from. Each season, players are eligible to earn points in the events they play in. The top finishers in each division, in any given event, will earn these points which accrue over the duration of the season. The top competitors in each division (Girls Elite, Boys Elite, Girls Prep, Boys Prep, Girls Birdie, and Boys Birdie) will earn an invitation to compete in the Junior Invitational.
