Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Golf Association announced the site for two Championships in 2016 on Monday afternoon. Concord Country Club will host the 2016 New Hampshire Junior Amateur Championship and Lake Sunapee Country Club will host the 2016 Mid-Amateur Championship.

Concord Country Club last hosted an NHGA Championship in 2012 when they hosted the 109th New Hampshire Amateur Championship. Lake Sunapee hosted the 2004 Mid-Amateur Championship won by Phil Pleat.

“These are two great member facilities that we are excited to bring Championships to in 2016” NHGA Executive Director Matt Schmidt said Friday. “The Junior Championship is our second longest running Amateur Championship and to be able to bring that event to a historic club like Concord Country Club is an incredible opportunity. The NHGA is thankful to the membership at Concord for opening their doors to the best junior golfers in the Granite State.”

Lake Sunapee will cap off the NHGA Championship season in 2016 with the Mid-Amateur September 29th – October 1st. Schmidt remarked: “Lake Sunapee is another member club with great history and is a great venue for this Championship. The Sunapee region in the fall will add an extra aesthetic touch to an already beautiful venue.”

NHGA members can get an early look at Lake Sunapee this fall on October 1st for the club’s 26th Annual Fall Classic. The two-player best ball event awards prizes in both net and gross divisions. Players looking for more information about that tournament can contact Craig Gardner at the Lake Sunapee Country Club Golf Shop.

Registration for these events will begin in February of 2016 and full NHGA tournament schedule will be released later in the fall.
