Tri-State Team Looks to Claim Title on Home Turf
September 10th 2014 -

Concord, NH - Saturday marks the beginning of the Tri-State Championships between three teams comprised of some of the best players from Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire. The contest, which will be hosted by New Hampshire at Concord Country Club, will consist of alternate shot matches on Saturday and singles matches on Sunday. Team New Hampshire last won the Tri-States in 2011, when a team that had six of the members on the 2014 team dominated the singles matches winning 22 of the possible 32 points during the final day. More information about the players on the 2014 New Hampshire team and the accomplishments that earned them a spot on the team can be found below.
Dan Arvanitis (Derryfield CC)* - The Manchester resident recently finished second at the New Hampshire Senior Amateur Championship that came down to the final few holes. The two-time state Player of the Year and two-time Senior Player of the Year finished tied for third in stroke play qualifying at the 2013 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship, which secured his title as 2013 NHGA Senior Player of the Year.

Josh Chamberlain (Stonebridge CC) - A successful team golfer, Chamberlain won the 2013 NH Four Ball Championship with teammate Ryan Kohler, and followed that performance up with a win at the 2014 NH Spring Four-Ball. The 2009 New Hampshire Player of the Year reached the Round of 16 at the 2014 New Hampshire Amateur, and finished T13 at the 2014 NH Stroke Play Championship.

Jim Cilley (Pembroke Pines CC) - The 2011 NH State Amateur Champion and 2014 State Amateur semifinalist has a proven track record in match play with a 15-3 record at the NH State Amateur over the last four years. Cilley finished T12 at the 2013 NH Mid-Amateur Championship and T10 at the 2013 NH Stroke Play Championship.

Bo Harris (Concord CC)* - Fresh off a 9th place finish in his age division at the NH Senior Amateur Championship, Harris collected a full two points during his individual matches at last year's Tri-States. Harris reached the round of 32 in match play at the 2014 NH State Amateur Championship and will be one of the two players on the NH team who call host club Concord Country Club their home club.

Ryan Kohler (Hooper GC) - The medalist at the 2014 NH State Amateur Championship is another veteran of the Tri-State matches, winning all of his matches last year and earning a full three points. Kohler was the winner of the 2012 NH Stroke Play Championship and was the 3rd low amateur at the 2013 NH Open Championship. Kohler will likely be paired with his usual four-ball teammate Josh Chamberlian during Saturday's alternate shot.

CJ Konkowski (Rochester CC) - One of the two qualifiers from New Hampshire for the final USGA Amateur Public Links, Konkowski navigated the difficult North Course at Bretwood Golf Course for a second place finish at the qualifier. Bob Landry (Loudon CC) - Landry has advanced to the second round of match play at each of the last three State Amateur Championships, including the round of 16 in the last two events. Paradis finished T13 at the 2014 Stroke Play Championship.

Allen Pattee (Souhegan Woods GC)* - A third place finish at the 2013 NH Senior Amateur Championship and a T15 at the 2014 NH Senior Amateur Championship helped earn Pattee a spot on another Tri-State Team.
