That's A Wrap for the 2016 Adaptive Communications Junior Tour
Author: Kate Kellar
August 19th 2016 - Concord, NH –  The 2016 Adaptive Communications NHGA Junior Tour recently concluded with the Junior Invitational, taking place at Keene Country Club, where the top 25 golfers from the Junior Tour competed.  Those earning Adaptive Communication Junior Tour Player of the Year honors include:  Hunter Drew for Eagle A Boys, CJ LaDue for Eagle B Boys, Hannah Drew for Eagle Girls, Scotty Senatore for Birdie Boys, and Shivani Vora for Birdie Girls.

This year’s Adaptive Communications Junior Tour kicked off with the Hoodkroft Junior Open and then dove right into the five Eagle and seven Birdie events all across New Hampshire.  One addition to the Junior Tour this year was the Junior Tour Scramble at The Shattuck Golf Club that ended up being a hit among the junior golfers.  The top players from each division earned an invitation the final event, the Junior Tour Invitational.

Read below for more information on each of the Junior Tour Players of the Year:

Hunter Drew –  Hunter began the 2016 Junior Tour with a win in the Eagle A Boys Division at the Hoodkroft Junior Open, by firing a 2-over par 74.  For the remaining events, he was able to always find himself in the top half of the field, which helped him earn enough points to stay at the top.  The Eagle A Boys division was a tight race, but Hunter’s consistent play this year helped him earn the Eagle A Boys Player of the Year title.  This is Hunter’s first time earning the Eagle A Boys Player of the Year award and plays out of Bretwood Golf Club.

CJ LaDue –  It’s tough to compete with a player who fires 1-under, 71 in the opening event of the Adaptive Communications Junior Tour.  CJ certainly set the tone for the Eagle B Boys at the Hoodkroft Junior Open and kept that streak going.  He went on to win the Eagle B Boys Division at Derryfield, Pease, Eastman, and Ridgewood.  At the Junior Invitational, CJ clinched this Player of the Year award by shooting 75 at Keene CC.  CJ plays out of Amherst Country Club

Hannah Drew – Hannah had a great season on the Adaptive Communications Junior Tour as she was able to rack up 6 victories, which included the Eagle Girls Division of the Hoodkroft Junior Open as well as the Junior Invitational.  This is her second time winning the Eagle Girls Player of the Year award and it doesn’t look like she’ll be slowing down.  Playing out of Bretwood Golf Club, she has hopes of playing college golf.

Scotty Senatore – With much enthusiasm, Scotty won the Birdie Boys Player of the Year honor with his three victories on the Adaptive Communications Junior Tour.  He landed at the top of the leaderboard in the Birdie Boys Division at the Ponemah Green, Countryside, and Rockingham events.  This is the first time Scotty has won the Birdie Boys Player of the Year award and we can look forward to more energy and more golf from Scotty in the years to come.

Shivani Vora – Shivani once again proved that she is the top Birdie Girls player by being the only Adaptive Communications Junior Player of the Year to go undefeated in each event she participated in.  Shivani, who gets her practice by playing out of Portsmouth Country Club, concluded the Junior Tour by shooting 38 at Keene Country Club to win her division at the Junior Invitational.  This is the second straight year that she has won the Birdie Girls Player of the Year award.

Each Adaptive Communications Junior Tour Player of the Year will be honored for their hard work and outstanding play on the Junior Tour at the NHGA Champions Dinner on October 20th at Manchester Country Club.  Also, thanks to Golf & Ski Warehouse, they will also be receiving a gift card to Golf & Ski Warehouse.

The NHGA would like to extend a special thank you to all the host clubs of the Adaptive Communications Junior Tour for allowing us time on the course to continue to grow the game of golf.  Also, thank you to our sponsor Adaptive Communications for the continued support of junior golf in New Hampshire.
