Team Landry Leads After First Round

Team Landry Leads in Four Ball Championship

CANTERBURY, NEW HAMPSHIRE- The team of Bob and Ian Landry shot a six under par 66 on Saturday at Canterbury Woods Country Club to take a one shot lead in the Gross Division of the New Hampshire Four Ball Championship.

Trailing team Landry are the teams of Dan Moquin and Barry Jordan, Michael Martel and Damon Salo and John Gimas and Bo Harris who all shot 67. 

Max Linemayr and Tom Hixson and Jim Cilley and Michael Mahan were both at 68 to tie for third place while defending champions Ryan Kohler and Joshua Champberlain were three back along with David and Roger Larrivee.

The Landryís started strong going three under after six holes before bogeying the seventh. They finished the front side with pars before jumping on the 10th hole making birdie on that par 5. They ate up the par 5ís, birdying all five of them, three on the back nine alone. In fact they didnít birdie any of the par fours making birdies at the par 3 sixth and 17th holes.

Mark Bond and Colby Blodgett lead the net division by one shot posting a 10 under par net 62 on Saturday. After making a bogey on the first hole Bond and Blodgett made six birdies on the front nine including five in a row from holes three to seven to go out in 31. They also shot 31 on the back nine that featured a net one on the par 3- 13th hole. 

Steve Brooks and Kevin Devine were one shot back of Bond and Blodgett with a Saturday 63 that included two net eagles on par fours (9th and 12th).

The teams of Jake Lorden and Tim OíMeara, Matt Demers and Nicholas Ackerman and Roger Gayer and Steve Ives were three shots back after shooting 65ís.
