Busy Week Wraps Up on Junior Tour
July 20th 2017 - Sandwiched in between the New Hampshire State Amateur and New Hampshire Open, the week of July 17th was a busy one on the Thorpe Family Foundation NHGA Junior Tour. Both Birdie and Eagle division events littered the schedule as we continue to see a high quality of play from our New Hampshire junior golfers.   • Monday, July 17th - Eagle at Waukewan - Jacob Cole fired a solid round of 80 to take the Eagle A division at the tricky Waukewan GC. Gunnar Senatore and reigning Eagle B Player of the Year CJ LaDue both shot 79 to share honors in the Eagle B division. Hannah Drew shot an 86 to win the Eagle Girls division. 
  • Tuesday, July 18th - Birdie at Intervale CC - Myles O'Quinn won the boys division with a round of 45 (9 holes) and Hayli Snaer took the girls division with a round of 48
  • Tuesday, July 18th - Eagle at Beaver Meadow GC - Justin Legere shot a solid round of 4-over par 76 and Bruce Zimmerman followed up his great performance in the State Am by winning the Eagle B division with a round of 75. Hannah Drew once again took home first place in the Eagle girls division by firing a 79 which bested the 82 shot by Shivani Vora. 
  • Wednesday, July 19th - Birdie at Indian Mound GC - Myles O'Quinn once again took home first place honors by shooting at 9-over 44, besting Sam Maurice who shot 49. 
  • Wednesday, July 19th - Eagle at Windham CC - Nicholas Fairneny shot a solid round of 7-over 79 to win the Eagle A division over Chris Nelson and Chris Cadman (84). Bryce Zimmerman continued his charge for Eagle B POY honors by firing a 6-over par 78 to nip Gunnar Senatore by three shots. Hannah Drew was again victorious in the Eagle girls division by shooting an 8-over par 80. 
  • Thursday, July 20th - Birdie at Hidden Creek CC - Myles O'Quinn shot a 44 to take home his third win of the week and Kaylee Lintner shot a 48 to take the girls division. 
  • Thursday, July 20th - Eagle at Derryfield CC - Chris Nelson won the Eagle A Division with a round of 80 while Matt Simmons and Brian Adams shared medalist honors in the Eagle B division with rounds of 79. Hannah Drew made it a clean sweep with a round of 78.

About the Thorpe Family Foundation NHGA Junior Golf Tour - Since 2015, Steve and Marjorie Thorpe have been proud supporters of the NHGA Junior Golf Program. Founded in 1998, the NHGA junior golf program has provided young golfers with the opportunity to compete on a tour designed for players of all ability. The program promotes development and fair play while churning out some of the best young players in the Granite State. The tour is broken down into divisions for both boys and girls who are then put in either the Eagle (13-18) or Birdie (10-13) divisions.
