NHGA Announces Davis & Towle Insurance Group as NH Amateur Title Sponsor

Concord, NH – As the golf season in New Hampshire is now underway, the New Hampshire Golf Association (NHGA) is excited to announce the title sponsor for one of its marquee events this season.  Davis & Towle Insurance Group is set to sponsor the 121st New Hampshire Amateur Championship taking place at Concord Country Club this July.  This is the largest amateur championship in the Granite State, attracting over 500 golfers eager to compete to determine the top male amateur golfer in the state.

Davis & Towle Insurance Group, founded in 1954, is a family-owned organization with a rich tradition of protecting the community with a genuine interest in each person’s wellbeing.  Scott Towle of Davis & Towle commented, “We are proud to partner with the NHGA who has fostered, promoted, and administered the game of golf in New Hampshire since 1905. Davis & Towle looks forward to supporting the NHGA and the work that they do for years to come. It truly is the perfect pairing.”

“The New Hampshire Amateur championship continues to see participation hit record levels and the 2024 edition of the event will include an exemption into the 124th US Amateur Championship for the first time”, stated NHGA Executive Director, Matt Schmidt. “The event continues to establish itself as the premier amateur golf tournament in New Hampshire”.

Schmidt continued, “The NHGA is thrilled to be partnering with Davis & Towle to support this historic championship. Davis & Towle have established themselves as a pillar of the New Hampshire community and their sponsorship of the 121st New Hampshire Amateur will once again allow the NHGA to give competitors a first-class tournament experience. We look forward to helping Davis & Towle reach their goals and we’re excited at the possibility of creating a long-term relationship with the Davis & Towle team.”

The six-day championship will be held at Concord Country Club July 8-13.  Beginning with 36 holes of stroke play qualifying, the field is cut to the low 64 golfers to advance.  From there, match play determines who will move on with a 36-hole final match on the last day to crown the champion.  For the first time, this year’s champion will be awarded an exemption into the 124th US Amateur Championship being contested at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota in August.
