21 More Tickets Punched To Bretwood From Keene Qualifier

June 13th 2017 - Keene, NH – With another qualifier in the books, 21 more players got their tickets punched to the State Amateur Championship at Bretwood Golf Course.  Anyone who kept their score to 83 and lower was able to advance on to the championship proper taking place next month.
Among the qualifiers was Albie Powers, Keene Country Club, member who used his local knowledge to card the low round for the day at even par, 72.  With a solid front nine at two under par, he had two trouble holes on the back, but still managed to keep it low.  Powers ended up being the lowest in the field by two strokes.
Other familiar names to Keene Country Club and Bretwood Golf Course who qualified for the State Amateur Championship are Tim Manwaring (77), Izzy Avilez (81), Andrew McIlvene (82), Brian Nadeau (83), Michael Yarosevich (83), and Mike Davis (83).  Keeton Foster who plays out of Pine Grove Springs Country Club just down the road from Keene, also qualified with the second lowest score of the day, 74.
The 114th New Hampshire Amateur Championship will be contested at Bretwood Golf Course July 10-15.  The next qualifier will be at The Shattuck on Sunday, June 25th.
