2017 Mid-Amateur Championship Host Announced

June 1st 2016 - Concord, NH –   The New Hampshire Golf Association (NHGA) is pleased to announce they will be adding Bald Peak Colony Club to the 2017 tournament schedule as they will be the host for the 2017 Mid-Amateur Championship.  This will be the first time for Bald Peak to host this championship event.
Bald Peak Colony Club General Manager Chris Wyles, expressed the club’s excitement for hosting next year’s Mid-Amateur Championship saying, “We are thrilled to be hosting the 2017 New Hampshire Mid Am at Bald Peak.  It will be interesting to see how the best amateurs from our state handle our challenging Donald Ross greens.”
With this being the first time in over fifty years that Bald Peak has hosted an NHGA event, Tournament Director Greg Howell could not be happier about the site. “We are thrilled to bring New Hampshire’s top mid-amateur players to one of the most prestigious facilities in the Granite State.  We would like to thank the Staff and Board of Directors at Bald Peak for all they have done for the NHGA.”
The 34th Robert H. Elliott Mid-Amateur Championship is slated for October 5-7, 2017.  The Mid-Amateur is a 54-hole stroke play event with a cut to the low 27 players plus ties after 36 holes.  This year, Ryan Kohler will make an attempt at defending his title at Lake Sunapee Country Club in New London, NH, September 29th through October 1st.
